James Morrison had a dream start to his career as a singer-songwriter – his debut album Undiscovered yielded no fewer than five singles – You Give Me Something, Wonderful World, The Pieces Don’t Fit Anymore, Undiscovered and One Last Chance.

Undiscovered went to No 1 in Britain, Top 30 in America and won him the 2007 Brit Award for Best Male (he was also nominated for Best Single and Best Newcomer). James’s debut sold over two million copies worldwide and he became the biggest selling British male solo artist of 2006.

The Melismatics formed at the turn of the century in the fertile ground of the Minneapolis indie-rock scene. Their debut album "Postmodern Rock" quickly caught the attention of college radio stations around the country and garnered favorable reviews from critics around the world.

Ten years ago in 1998 John Butler was busking on the streets of Fremantle, West Australia. 3500 self funded cassette sales served as the foundation for becoming Australia's most successful independent artist ever. Fast Forward to 2008 and his label Jarrah Records has now been responsible for 800,000 CD sales in Australia.

At 22 years of age, Kyle Dessent is on his way towards a very successful career in pop/rock and country music. His recent success as a Grand Finalists in the Telstra Road To Tamworth 2009 Competition has attracted much attention from audiences to industry representatives alike, including Gayle Madill from Country Update Magazine who awarded him a 9 /10 for stage presence. 
Since the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January this year, Kyle has had the honour of working with Award Winning Nashville Songwriters Karin Paparelli and Bill DiLuigi, received guitar instruction from Grammy Nominated, world class Memphis guitarist Gary Talley, and vocal tuition from the prestigious Renee Grant-Williams.

There's this guy who plays guitar... Sometimes you can't get a particular song out of your head; it's there when you wake up, at embarrassingly awkward points throughout your day, and only disappears when there's another to replace it. Music gets under your skin and no matter what "sensible"/"paying" careers you pretend to pursue, it's in your blood like some catchy disease.

I am a fan of subtlety. I find that a lot of current popular music lacks mystery, innuendo, romance, wit, honesty, and finesse. I want albums to be at the least compelling. I hope my album will be accepted by the open minded, panned by the closed minded. but I have a feeling it will be secretly adored by industry insiders. Why? Because, everyone wants to work with groundbreaking artists during their tenure, but most do not have the leeway to take such risks. Independent mavericks pave the way!

I have no interest in repeating myself. Once I have explored an angle to it's fullest I tend to lose interest. I am a glutton for emotion and a slave to sensation. I want to bask in all of the decadence that life has to offer all of my sixteen senses. love it - live it - pass it on.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, James’ musical pursuits brought him to Nashville with only $20 in his pocket. While his car broke down on the road, he was determined to overcome all obstacles and follow his dreams. He has a passion for songwriting and has been writing since he was 13 years old.
