A study in contrasts, smooth, organic vocals with a pop sensibility, offset by instrumentation and arrangement harkening a bygone era, the music of Tyler Burkum speaks to both new and old in one fresh breath. A native of Minneapolis, MN, Tyler's music speaks truthfully and without frills of his life, love, family and home. Matt Kearny says "Tyler's the most  talented friend I have.
He has the ability to sing a simple song full of complex longing. Many nights on the road he would start to strum his guitar and bring to life a song that was bouncing around all our heads. He knows the pain of long distance love, and the joy found in a young man following his dreams." The songwriting and composition Burkum displays are reminiscent of when folk, blues, rock n' roll, and soul were one. Recently touring as lead guitarist and backing vocals for Columbia recording artist Matt Kearney, Tyler continued to mold songs of his own during free time.

Originally initiated as a side project, AT/DT has existed since 2001 when brothers Andrew Thomas (guitar) and David Thomas (drums) recruited Ben Jones (vocals) and Erik Pedersen (bass) to help form a proposed "mock rock" group. The band recorded an EP, Rock 4 The People, released in 2002, and that same year shot an appearance in the Siege Perilous Films independent feature-length movie revisions.
Following a year-long hiatus, the band reformed in 2004 and began to write and record new material. Shortly thereafter, however, Pedersen left AT/DT to attend violin-making school (seriously). The three remaining members continued working and in 2005 extended an invitation to an old friend, DJ Sandau, to join up as bassist. From there AT/DT began playing shows regularly throughout the Twin Cities area.

Im just going to be honest and say that I think it's weird to write a bio about yourself in third person. I dont have a fancy bio writer, so Im going to give it a shot myself; not as if you were reading it off of a website, but instead, as if out of a journal or something... It just seems more appropriate that way...

"I never have and never will cut songs I don't believe in. I know I can always sing those songs - whether I do it for 20,000 or my family. Those songs can't be taken away from me, so I try to choose songs that will last." - John Michael Montgomery

John Michael Montgomery has turned an uncanny ability to relate to fans into one of country music's most storied careers. Behind the string of hit records, the roomful of awards and the critical and fan accolades that have defined his phenomenal success lies a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and his proven knack for picking hits. Since the days when "Life's A Dance" turned him from an unknown artist into a national star, John Michael's rich baritone has carried that most important of assets--believability. Few artists in any genre sing with more heart than this handsome Kentucky-born artist.

The release of Ricky Lynn Gregg’s third solo country album,
“Careful What You Wish For” (RMG Records, 2001), solidifies Gregg as a mainstay artist in country music. As well known for
his edgy brand of country as for his scores of devoted fans,
Gregg refines his talent on this 10-song disc, and says he is
more proud of this project than any of his previous albums.

Musically diverse, “Careful What You Wish For” is a clear reflection of a man known for his traditional country roots, his rockin country music, and his rangy vocals. This album truly offers something for every-one.

For a man whose new album begins with a powerful song called "Footsteps of Our Fathers," Pat Green has blazed his own trail in a way that few artists today can claim. Even with all the artistic and popular success he has experienced along the way, What I'm For is the stirring sound of Pat Green arriving as a major American singer-songwriter who has managed to make his own way in country music and beyond. To borrow a memorable phrase from the man's biggest hit to date, "Wave On Wave" of new faces have come along, but few have ever made such a vivid impression, both as a recording artist and performer as Pat Green.

Writing songs is the most important thing in the world to me. Especially when I get to share those songs with you. My parents are immigrants and taught me how to work really hard. And so, I do. I love traveling and a goal of mine is to see the whole world. The Police and Queen are my favorite bands of all time.....and Blondie....and I love The Clash as well. I am really indecisive at times.

New Orleans is the only place on the planet that could have produced native son Kermit Ruffins. Whether hes blowing trumpet on a Louis Armstrong classic or one of his own hot numbers, Ruffins embraces the tune with the true spirit of the city. Ruffins music, like New Orleans itself, swings hard with a big heart as it remembers tradition and the importance of good-timin fun. Born on Dec. 19, 1964 (sharing the birthdate with New Orleans legend Professor Longhair!), Ruffins is a modern hipster in possession of an old soul.

Formed in the musical hotbed of Austin, Texas, the Arc Angels consist of some of the finest musical talents to ever play an instrument. With a devoted and adoring fan base, the Arc Angels are known as a tremendous band with an equally tremendous story. That story began in 1992 after the devastating loss of their friend and fellow musician Stevie Ray Vaughan. The miracle that came from that loss was the unique sound of four musicians aptly named – The Arc Angels: drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon (the veteran rhythm section of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble) coupled with musical wonders Charlie Sexton and Doyle Bramhall II sharing lead vocal and lead guitar duties.

The band first came together in 2000, when Alejandro (lead vocals, guitar, piano) and Fabian (guitar, vocals), then 14 and 16 years old, respectively, started playing guitar. Within 3 months, Alejandro and Fabian took to the stage with their older brother Daniel (bass, percussion, vocals), then 20 years old, to perform before an audience of over 350 at a Pine View High School show. This would be the first of many public performances for the band at the school where its members had all been students together throughout their childhoods.

Spark Of Life is a band that is built on friendship and the belief that music transcends all barriers. Hardcore music has given each and everyone of us in this band something that cant be quantified and something so special in our hearts that it could never be taken away. We are grateful for the opportunity to play the music we love at any level, and we hope that you can find something on here that you can relate to. We are not rockstars. We have normal jobs where we go to work every day to support families. We are honest, and we try to bring that across in every song we write.

In recent years, the soundtrack to coastal life has taken on many forms. From the laid- back island folk of Jack Johnson to the reggae-infused punk rock of Sublime, beach- inspired music has gone in vastly different directions.
In comes Bag of Toys, an acoustic surf-rock band from Northern California, that has emerged on the music scene with a completely original, infectious sound that is drenched in the sun and sand.

Hi.
I'm Nikki.
I think I've spent sooo much time reflecting on what my past has to do with with my present, that I've completely forgotten to think about what my present has to do with my future. I don't ever wanna realize I've spent my entire life looking backwards to figure out whats in front of me.
Who I am now may have a lot to do with who I've been before, but who I'm going to be tomorrow is up to me to determine.

Kina started playing shows at the age of four in front of her stuffed animals. Now she plays in front of people. It was not the quickest transition for the admittedly shy songstress. While attending college at USC, Kina often retreated to the secluded stairwells around campus, where she could write and sing without being heard. Protected by their quiet, private confines, she found a safe haven for her creative expression and a private outlet for her music. Armed with a guitar and a cup of tea, Kina wrote in every stairwell she came across. And it was within these stairwells that she developed the confidence in her abilities as a songwriter and her poise as a performer. In 2007, Kina joined YouTube, made a music video and entered herself into a contest.

If “esperanza” is the Spanish word for hope, then bassist, vocalist and composer Esperanza Spalding could not have been given a more fitting name at birth. Blessed with uncanny instrumental chops, a multi-lingual voice that is part angel and part siren, and a natural beauty that borders on the hypnotic, the 23-year-old prodigy-turned-pro might well be the hope for the future of jazz and instrumental music. “She is an irresistible performer,” says The Seattle

Without apparently intending to do so, Uncle Kracker has made a habit out of breaking stereotypes. He served as deejay in Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker band, an unlikely place for a mellow, low-key family man. Kid Rock helped him break out into his own solo music career, out of which he charted a new course with a country and Motown-influenced pop-style debut album that earned double-platinum sales. Uncle Kracker was born Matthew Shafer in Mount Clemens, Michigan, on the outskirts of Detroit. His father, Sunny, owned a local Amoco gas station in which Shafer worked off and on until he was 21 years old. As he was growing up, his father listened to country and Motown music, and although Shafer hated it at the time, their influence showed up later in his own music.

There's this guy who plays guitar... Sometimes you can't get a particular song out of your head; it's there when you wake up, at embarrassingly awkward points throughout your day, and only disappears when there's another to replace it. Music gets under your skin and no matter what "sensible"/"paying" careers you pretend to pursue, it's in your blood like some catchy disease.

My artist debut is on Timbaland & Polow da Don's label Mosely Music Group/Zone 4/Interscope Records. I am a fan of subtlety. I find that a lot of current popular music lacks mystery, innuendo, romance, wit, honesty, and finesse. I want albums to be at the least compelling. I hope my album will be accepted by the open minded, panned by the closed minded. but I have a feeling it will be secretly adored by industry insiders. Why? Because, everyone wants to work with groundbreaking artists during their tenure, but most do not have the leeway to take such risks. Independent mavericks pave the way!

I have no interest in repeating myself. Once I have explored an angle to it's fullest I tend to lose interest. I am a glutton for emotion and a slave to sensation. I want to bask in all of the decadence that life has to offer all of my sixteen senses. love it - live it - pass it on.

Hey there, Thanks so much for checking out my music. Let me tell you a little about myself. I LOVE MUSIC!! I am a 19-year-old singer/songwriter/musician currently majoring in Country Music. I have some awesome teachers that are helping me cultivate my love of country music. I started singing in church at the age of 2 ..... and haven't stopped!! Jesus and my family have always been by my side and my number 1 supporters. God has blessed me abundantly. He is the reason I am able to sing, write my own songs, and play the guitar. With Him, nothing shall be impossible. After college, my dream is to make Nashville my home and continue the journey down the country music path. I have had the privilege of making friends with fellow songwriters and the opportunity to work with publishers in Nashville. Lord willing, He will continue to open doors as He leads the way. Thanks again for visiting and please feel free to comment or message me!! XOX ((All music is original. Written/composed/and sung by me! (C) 2009 Lindsey Clontz))
